Junior Trista Fassio was named to the State Superintendent’s Fine Arts Award winners list in April. Fassio is involved in choir, band, and theatre at the high school. Her resume boasts several leadership roles as well as honors and state titles.

PHS junior Trista Fassio is being honored with the State Superintendent Award for Arts Excellence in regards to her work in drama and theatre.

Chris Barber, Chair of the Oklahoma Alliance for Arts Education and fine arts administrator for Owasso Public Schools, described the award as “the highest accolade by the State of Oklahoma honoring students, teachers and administrators who exemplify arts excellence.”

Fassio is honored to have been recognized, saying: “I’m very excited to be one of the students honored for arts excellence in Oklahoma. The arts sometimes go unnoticed in schools and awards like this help bring visibility to the students who work hard for artistic and academic excellence.”
