HOMECOMING COURT ANNOUNCED

ROYALTY: Homecoming queens Bailey Pickle and Caitlyn McBride will be crowned at the Homecoming ceremony on October 11 at Costner Stadium.

Homecoming sponsor Darla Humphries announced this week that the football and band homecoming courts had been chosen.

The Poteau Pirate Marching band has chosen senior trumpet player Caitlyn McBride as their queen.  McBride will be escorted by senior king and tuba player Devon Rodriguez.  Homecoming attendants for band include juniors Faith Montgomery and Bruno Santos; sophomores Emily Teague and Triston Barber; and freshmen Sadie Perkin and Benjamin Campbell.

The football team has chosen senior water girl Bailey Pickle as their queen.  Pickle will be escorted by senior king and defensive lineman Vaka Tuifua.  Homecoming attendants for football include juniors Crystal Atkinson and Bryson Carshall; sophomores Brooklyn Morris and Chastin Soehlman; and Freshmen Tommie Attee and Wesley Garrett.

The homecoming ceremony will begin at 6:30 pm on Friday October 11 at Costner Stadium.  The game will begin at 7 pm.

The Pirate Varsity Cheer squad has announced that among the homecoming celebrations, dress up days for the week will include the following themes:

  • Monday: Hawaiian vs Snowed In
  • Tuesday: Hollywood vs Wild West
  • Wednesday: Camouflage vs Neon
  • Thursday: Hippies vs Greasers
  • Friday: Spirit Day (Freshman: White; Sophomore: Red; Junior: Black; Senior: Red/White/Black)

All outfits must fit within the school dress code.
