Mar. 28 — Members of Pirate Connect took another opportunity to create works of art during a session with Bobbi Gillham.  Students worked with watercolors to create vivid works of art.  Director Angel Barbee was on hand to capture some of the work in action.

STEP ONE: Take a cue from a picture he found online, Chris Buchanan maps out the image at the center of his artwork.

MAPPING IT OUT: Ruthie James looks over her drawing before moving on to color.

Students worked with wax and then blended watercolors to create their masterpieces. Here, Gavin Macleod layers in his second color.

CRITICAL EYE: Taking a moment to consider his work, Chase Akin gives it a good once over before proceeding.

WORKING HER WAY OUT: After laying the groundwork for her dragonfly, Holly Upton layers in her watercolors.
