DID YOU KNOW?

 

…that the school board has adopted recent changes to the Capital Improvement Plan to include renovations to the Kidd Center, FFA facilities, and a new basketball/wrestling arena?   The school board has approved a Capital Improvement Plan that includes timelines for development of new or newer facilities for each of these areas. The needs in these programs are great and each of the programs touches the lives of many students.  They are included in Phase 2 after the academic classroom buildings are completed in Phase 1.

 

…the district has purchased land on streets adjoining the high school property to provide future entrances and exits to the facilities?   Land was purchased on Beeler and Craigway to create future entrances and exits to a 7th and 8th grade center and gymnasium.   As recently as this past October, the district entered negotiations to purchase land next to McDonalds.  Unfortunately, the school board concluded that it was not fiscally responsible to the taxpayers to make the investment.  The board continues to monitor the availability of land around the high school.
