Helping Out In the Community at Poteau Valley Humane Society

On October 11th, members of the Poteau High School FCCLA chapter volunteered at PVHS to support a local business in spreading awareness for in need animals in the community.

PIRATE PRIDE: Isaiah Dewitt, Chelsea Spearman, Daniel Rodriguez, Patty Lopez, Jordan Hicks, Britley Blankenship, Marley Wahl, Summer Weaver, Jayda Cravey, Faith Montgomery, Isabella Law and Alec Branham from the Poteau High School FCCLA start off the day at the Humane Society with much pride for the cause they will be supporting all day.

A WALK IN THE STREET:
Firstly, sophomores Summer Weaver, Marley Wahl and Faith Montgomery head out to the streets to promote exercise by giving the dogs at the shelter their daily walk.

FURRY FRIENDS: Senior Jayda Cravey and sophomore Faith Montgomery take a break from a long day of walking dogs to play with their furry friend Archie.

(WO)MAN’S BEST FRIEND: Although Archie was not the only dog walked that day, it was very apparent that he was the crowd favorite. “My favorite part about volunteering at the humane society was Archie,” said senior Jayda Cravey. “He’s such a sweetheart.”

A FRIENDSHIP BEGINS: Faith Montgomery (sophomore) winds down the day by taking a break to sit in awe over her newfound friend at the shelter.
