RINK RAT: At the Skate-Reation in Poteau, Kinsey P. skates the night away with her friend Dylan R. and her brother Conner P. on Thursday, September 27. The trio were supporting the fundraiser held by the Pirate Players and Thespians. The event was 80s themed in honor of the upcoming musical Xanadu, which opens October 11 at Poteau High School. “I wore my stepmom’s original 1980s Rink Rat jacket,” said Kinsey. “She was on the roller hockey team at Skate Reation.”

DOE: Senior Garrett C. attended the livestock show at the Poteau fairgrounds on Saturday, September 8. He won 2nd place showing his doe goat. Garrett has been a member of FFA for four years now. He plans on attending more shows throughout the 2018-2019 school year. “It’s truly awesome anytime you get to represent our school at any event,” said Garrett. “I am just honored to be able to come from a school with such a strong ag chapter.”

Arrgh: At the first pep rally on August 31, 2018, freshman Aidan Falkner works the crowd as mascot Pirate Pete. Pirate Pete was seen dancing to the fight song before the end of the pep rally that lead to the game that started our season off with a win.
