As almost everyone with a Netflix account may know, Stranger Things 2 came out this year on October 27th. Stranger Things is a widely beloved Netflix original series. In just two short seasons it has curated over 14 million viewers. The first season was the third most watched season of a Netflix original to debut in the last year.

Season one is eight episodes long, running around 45 to 50 minutes per episode, while season two has nine episodes. It is rumored that each season will have one episode more than the last.

In the start of season one, Will, goes missing one night. His mother, Joyce, doesn’t find out until the next morning. She then goes on an escapade with the local sheriff, Chief Hopper. Will’s best friends also take on the task of finding Will despite being told to stay home. While searching in the woods one night, they stumble upon a mysterious girl and take her in. They realize she has supernatural powers and she is a key in Will’s disappearance. The season follows Joyce, Hopper, and Will’s best friends as they search for Will and find more than they bargained for.

Stranger Things is a mash-up of E.T., Carrie, Stand By Me, and, Alien. It is a mystery jam-packed with supernatural elements, suspense, humor, and even a little romance. The series is great for viewers of all ages. It brings together generations with the nostalgia of the 80s, from hairstyles to walkie talkies, to biking all over town with your friends. The show partly centers around 3 kids who are looking for their missing friend. Throughout the show they have arguments, disagreements, and make-ups, which many kids of every generation can relate to in one way or another.

Fans have been buzzing about season three since the second that season two was released. Many articles have come out with theories from watchers, which includes a possibly more in-depth look into Hopper’s daughter’s death. There are also theories surrounding Eleven’s “sister”, Kali, and her mother Terry Ives. Whatever happens in season three devoted fans are sure to continue watching and raving over Stranger Things.
